Serving Bahamian communities through housing & land reform
Overview
The Ministry of Housing and Land Reform is the lead Government body responsible for the delivery of housing programmes, the administration of Crown land allocations, and the ongoing modernisation of land policy across The Bahamas. We work alongside ministries, lenders, builders, and community partners to ensure that more Bahamians can access safe, affordable, and dignified housing.
Mission
To expand affordable homeownership and secure access to land for Bahamian citizens through transparent, accountable, and citizen-centred public service.
Vision
A Bahamas where every family has a clear pathway to a safe home, fair land access, and the opportunity to participate in the long-term prosperity of their community.
